Hi, my name is Hans Langeveld and I'm with longfield-gardens.com, and I'm going to show you how to plant perennial bulbs. You are going to plant them with the sprouts up and with the roots down and the way we're going to plant these is we're going to use this bulb trowel to dig the hole which makes it easy. Then we're going to put the perennial in there and we're going to plant it like this. This is actually an akinesia and we're going to back fill it with soil here and if what you're going, basically what we're doing is we're leaving the sprouts out on the ground. So make sure that they stay out and then the roots are in the soil. You plant these preferably in the Fall but you can also plant them in the Spring and there is many types of perennials that you can plant and make sure when you plant them that you put them with enough distance from each other because they are going to expand. Eventually they're going to grow over the entire area. So this is how you plant perennials and my name is Hans Langeveld with longfield-gardens.com. Please visit our website for more tips and videos and we'll help you grow beautiful and strong gardens.
