Hey there. My name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach and fitness minister and today I want to talk about some exercises that would benefit chemotherapy patients. Now chemo obviously is a fatigue generator. And you have to allow your body to rest. But if you feel up to doing some physical activity you've got to remember the mantra. A little bit of something beats a whole lot of nothing. Now of course chemo zaps you of your strength, your energy. So what we want to do is we want to replace what the chemo has taken, through exercise. Now of course chemo patients need the same four categories of exercise as all of us. We need our strength, we need our cardio, we need stretching and we need balance. So I'm going to demonstrate an exercise right now that will incorporate all four of those strategic things that we need to gather for the gain from my exercise. This one exercise is called a burpy or a thrust kick back or a lot of different things. I tend to call it just a simple burpy, alright? So this is what we're going to do. We're going to squat down, utilizing the lower body, squat, put your hands down on the floor, kick back, using the arms and the core, then we're going to bring the feet back in to where we started, and then we hop up. Do it again, we're going to squat down, hands on the floor, push back, then pop back up. Last time, down, working the entire body, the entire kinetic chain, and up. My name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach and fitness minister and that is a fantastic exercise for individuals who are going through chemotherapy.
