Hi, my name is Tracy Brown, I'm a beauty expert. I have about 30 years of experience in skin care and makeup and as a cosmetics trainer and I have a great blog where you can view all my experience, my tips and advice blingingbeauty.com. Today we're at the beautiful My'Amour Salon & Spa in San Leandro. Our topic today is how to keep lipstick from getting so messy? There are a few ways to do this, I'm going to show you two ways that I like to use as a professional makeup artiest. One way, I prime the lips for years is with foundation, so with a little bit of foundation left over for applying it to your face, put a little bit on the lips and this kind of makes a base for the lipstick to adhere to. Then your second step would be to use a lip liner which again helps the lipstick adhere to the lips and prevent it from moving. So I'm using a lip liner that's close to Tamara's lip color and it's your choice, you can fill in the entire lip with the lip liner or you can do the perimeter. If using a extra creamy lipstick, which is probably the type that would get messy, you may want to fill in the entire lip, which I'm going to do. Once you have those steps completed you can go ahead and apply your lipstick, I'm using a rose from Black Up on Tamara, I'm going to apply it directly from the, the tube. Part a little bit more for me and open. The other benefit other than the lipstick not getting you messy, you get really a pretty true color when the lips are even in tone for applying the foundation first. After this first application of lipstick, you can blot it with a tissue, lightly, apply one more time. There you have it. So in order to not have messy lipstick remember to apply a little foundation to your lips, use a lip liner and to blot. My name is Tracy, if you have any other questions about lipstick, makeup, skin care, you can find me on Twitter, my handle there is blingingbeauty.
