Hi, my name is Tracey Brown, I'm a beauty expert, I have about 30 years experience in skin care, makeup, and as a cosmetics trainer. And I have a great Blog, where you can read all my experience, my tips and advice, BlingingBeauty.com. Today, we're at the beautiful My'Amour Salon and Spa in San Leandro. Our topic today, our topic is, which lipstick is best to use with lip gloss. My best advice for that is, look for a lipstick that's first of all, matte, that way you have a drier lip. So, when you apply the gloss, you don't have too much slipping going on. Secondly, look for two colors that are complimentary. So, when you put gloss over the lipstick, they'll blend and you'll have a nice, beautiful color that merges together. I've chosen two Tarte products for that, a Tarte Matte Lip Stain, and one of their glosses. I'm going to apply those to Tamara and we'll see how it looks. So, first, I'm applying Tarte, the Matte Lip Stain Envy over both lips, straight from the tube, comes in pencil type applicator. So, as you can see, it's not too shiny. I'm going to put the gloss on top , also a Tarte gloss, and this color is genuine. This actually is a really nice, complimentary color. And what we end up with, is, what appears to be very high shine lipstick. So, when you're choosing the lipstick to wear with a gloss, remember to try a matte formula, first of all, and try out colors that compliment each other. So, your gloss and your lipstick are pretty close in the same shades. My name is Tracey, If you want any more tips about makeup or skin care, you can find me on Twitter at BlingingBeauty.
