Hi, my name is Tracy Brown, I'm a beauty expert. I have about 30 years of experience in skin care and makeup and as a cosmetics trainer and I have a great blog where you can view all my experience, my tips and advice Today we're at the beautiful My'Amour Salon & Spa in San Leandro. Our topic today is how to sanitize lipstick. First of all don't share your lipstick, but when you have to sanitize it there are a couple of ways to do that. One is using alcohol, rubbing alcohol, go ahead and put your lipstick in that alcohol, the part that's been exposed to, to your lips or someone else's lips for about half a minute and when that's done wipe it off with a tissue, that's one way. Another way is to actually cap your lipstick, put it in the freezer and leave it there over night, that temperature will actually kill all the bacteria that's on the lipstick. A third way, you may see this when you notice this, when you go into a department store, how all the edges are so perfect on the lipsticks, they take the lipstick and swipe several times on a tissue, giving a fresh edge to the lipstick. So remember those three ways to sanitize your lipstick. If you have any other questions about makeup or skin care, my name is Tracy and you can find me on Twitter my handle there is blingingbeauty.
