Hey there, my name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister. And today, I'm going to show you the basic beginnings on a kipping pull-up. Now, pull-ups are of course amazing exercises, but there are many variations. Now, this is one that's gaining in popularity because it allows you to do more pull-ups, but is a kind of a tricky move. It's called the kipping pull-up. Let me show you the basics on how to begin your body to con, to control enough to pop up onto the bar. Alright. So, this is what you want to do. You want to jump up on the bar and you want to start with your feet, alright, just back and forth, controlling. So, if I tell you to stop, boom, you can stop on a dime, so you're not going crazy, you're nice and controlled from the feet. Then, we start with the hips, moving the hips back and forth. Undulating basically. From the hips, you start bringing the knees slightly up, "Whew", rocking and controlling 'till finally, "Pwehhhh", you pop up. "Whew." "Whew". "Puhhh". Whew!
