Hey there. My name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister, and today I'm going to demonstrate some neutral grip pull-ups that are good for the back. Now, neutral grip pull-ups are fantastic not only for the lower back and obliques, but they're great on a core and of course, they're tremendous upper body builders. So, your neutral grip pull-up is simply, you're going to have one palm facing you and one palm facing out. Alright. Now, by putting your palms in this position, it forces your body to almost swing naturally So, you're going to have to stabilize your core and obliques to keep your body from swinging. Let me demonstrate what I'm talking about. So, we start off with the left hand facing in, the right hand facing out; no more grip other than that. Then, if we leave our body here, you notice the body wants to swing. The body wants to swing typically. So, we want to straighten it out and then pull-up. "Phhhh". "Hhhhh", inhale, "Huhhhh", exhale, coming up. Exhale, "Phhhh", "Hhhhh", inhale going down. Alright. Now, we do the exact same thing with the other side. This time the right hand faces in, left hand faces out. You'll see the body will want to swing naturally, straighten it out, "Tsuhhhh", and pull. One more time, and breath. My name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister and that is how you can utilize a reverse grip or an alternate grip pull-up to help the lower back.
