Hi, I'm chef Mariko. Today, I'm going to show you how to make foamy head in a drink. This is a quick tip that you can use for any type of drink that you might make in a shaker. Egg whites are perfect for making foamy head. It gives a lot of volume and it gives it a nice creamy and foamy consistency. When using egg whites in a mixed drink, make sure to use the kind in the carton because they're already pasteurized, preventing you from any of those sicknesses that you can get from eating raw eggs. For today's recipe, I'm going to show you how to make a whiskey sour with foamy head. In your shaker, you want to add two ounces of your favorite bourbon. And again this is for a whiskey sour recipe that we're making. Then add some fresh squeezed lemon juice. This is going to be about half of a lemon squeezed. Then add a teaspoon of simple syrup. Then add two teaspoons of egg whites. In this recipe I'm adding the ice at the very end. It's going to help all the ingredients mix up a little bit easier. The longer you shake, the more foamy head you will get. All right now it's ready to serve. Then I'm just going to garnish with a couple of maraschino cherries. This is chef Mariko, showing you how to make foamy head. Enjoy.
