Hi, I'm Barbara Kirshner. A lot of people know me as Ms. Barb. I'm an expert food coach who teaches kids and parents healthy eating. I develop recipes, teach cooking classes, develop products and do healthy eating birthday parties. But most of all I have fun, fun, fun with food. This is my friend Sonya who wants to learn how to make healthy chicken nuggets. We're going to brush our pan with a little bit of oil. You can also use nonstick cooking spray. OK. Then we are going to take our water and our egg, put it in the bowl. I've just added water to the bowl and now I have an egg. And I am going to just beat it up like you're making scrambled eggs. We're going to cut the chicken in bite sized nuggets. You can also use a knife of course. I have chicken tenders but we can also cut chicken breasts, and some people like dark meat and use chicken thighs. Then you're going to take your chicken nugget put it in the egg then put it in your seasoned bread crumb mixture. There you go. Season bread crumbs, whole wheat bread crumbs and the last one in the egg and water mixture. In the seasoned bread crumbs and and on the pan. Then either spray with non stick cooking spray, spray with a little oil or just dab lightly. Now you bake these at 400 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch. The reason why this kind of a span of time you don't know how thick the chicken is, how big your pieces are going to be so make sure firm to the touch, cut inside, make sure it's not pink and it's nice golden brown and crispy. OK and to the oven we go. These look great. And so quick and easy. They look amazing, Ms. Barb. Beautiful golden, golden. Quick. I have my ketchup, I'm going to dip it. Crunchy, healthy baked chicken nuggets that are so delicious. Make a big batch, put them in your freezer, have them in the fridge. Great to put on a salad. I mean you can just to amazing things but you know, kids love chicken nuggets. I'm Barbara Kirshner. To see more of my recipe ideas, visit my website at or watch Dargedy's on NBC Kids and PBS Sprout.
