Hey, this is Leroy here with Relentless Performance. I'm here to address this question about does running with ankle weights give you a bigger butt. When running, the benefits to your butt in ankle weights are very very minimal, reason being when you run, your explosion motion and the gait of your run, basically the step is through the calf, very minimal in the hamstring and the glute and then when you pull and the cycling motion to step through, it's all done with the hip flexor, the extension is done with the quad. So when we are running, we're very, with an ankle weight you are more building a stamina and building the strength in the hip flexors but the benefits to your butt are very minimal. Don't use the ankle weights, get on the treadmill, turn the incline up and sprint as long as you can, somewhere you got to get the knees high and push long. That's going to benefit your butt more than an ankle weight will. Again I'm Leroy with Relentless Performance and we've covered running with ankle weights to make your butt bigger.
