Hi, I'm Michael Mondragon from Nerdy Connections. Today we are going to learn how to color photos with flowers in them. Now we are actually going to take the flowers and we are going to change the colors of them. And we are going to try to do that as fast as we can. Okay we are going to color this flower. It's a beautiful yellow right here but we are actually going to take it and we are actually going to have the ability to change the color of this yellow flower and change it into another color. There's also other flowers in the background as well. So we are going to actually go to color range here. And we are actually going to select this yellow part, the if we had selected this it's a little bit darker, a little muddier yellow. But we are actually going to get the brightest yellow we can. Try to get the most of it. And with this we can actually minimize or maximize the yellow that we reach in this photo. So that looks pretty good. We are actually going to get a little bit of the fringe as well. So we are going to select ok. And now we are going to go to channels. We are going to make a new channel by clicking down here. And we are going to option delete which will fill that with the foreground color which is white. We deselect that to show that. To select the actual layer again we are going to command click the layer and that's going to give us that selection. We are going to go back into the layers here. We are actually going to go down to the adjustments here. We are actually going to go to hue saturation and you noticed that it turned all red. Now the reason why that is is we have to go back into channels and we have to turn this alpha layer off. We are going to reselect it by command clicking the layer. And you actually see that the layer has been made here. So we are going to deselect that. If I double click on the properties layer we are actually going to be able to colorize by clicking this right here. And you see that it turned the color this kind of really intense pink color. But that's not what we are looking for. We are actually looking for more of a color. This would be a blue. But you can see it where everything is being affected. So we can actually take out and pump up that saturation so we can actually, or the lightness of it. If I were to take it to the left here it would become completely dark, a black flower there. But we are actually going to take this and we are going to make it a white color. So the great thing about this layer is that it's nondestructive so we can actually turn it off and we are right back to where we started with our beautiful yellow flower. And have a flower here that's white. So that's how you change colors of flowers in a photo. I'm Michael Mondragon from Nerdy Connections. And you can look me at nerdyconnections.com. We'll see you next time.
