Hi, my name is Claire Coleman; I'm a Hairstylist and I'm going to show you how an Amanda Peet inspired hairstyle. Amanda Peet has beautiful luxurious hair, it's pretty straight and it has a little bit of a wave to it, it's nice and thick and shiny and she's kind of a natural girl, so she doesn't really need to do too much to her hair to make it look great. She usually wears it in the side part, which is a little bit of her natural wave to it. So, that's what we're going to show today. So, I'm going to start by parting our model's hair in the middle and look in the mirror and use your nose as a guideline. It's usually a good place to start. So, you're going to start and use a tools with a blunt tip just to kind of help you along the way. And you're going to go straight back from your nose to, starting at your hairline, all the way to the back; just as far back as you really feel like it needs to go. And then just smooth that out. And she usually wears her hair tucked behind her ears and pretty flat on top. So, we're just going to brush that out and tuck behind the ears. Now, from here, I'm just going to take a large section and I'm just going to start to wave it with the iron and I'm just going to start from right where the ears are. You don't want to go too high up, otherwise it will look too done and that's not really her style. So, I'm just going to start from here and just loosely wrap this really, it's like a big fat section of hair, just wrap it around the barrel of the iron and you want to hold it for a little bit longer just to make sure that the full thickness of your hair is heated. And you can kind of touch outside, like this and you'll be able to feel when it gets nice and hot. And it's just getting there now; little bit, okay, perfect. And then, we're just going to let that loose like that. And you're going to continue that around the head. And then, you're just going to make sure your hair stays behind your ears, and let's get the other side, nice and loose, nice and natural. Here we go.
