Hi, my name is Claire Coleman. I'm a Hairstylist, and I'm going to show you how to use a hair donut for long hair. So, we're going to start with our hair in a ponytail at the desired height. I like to do it with a nice high ponytail. So, I stared with our model's hair in a high ponytail here. And then, you're going to take a donut, you want to make sure that you get something close to your natural hair color. If you're blond, it's good to get a blond one, if your dark hair, it's good to get a dark haired one. So, we're just going to feed our ponytail through the donut and just put it at the base of our ponytail holder here. And then we're going to work in small sections, especially if you have nice thick hair, it's a lot easier to just work in sections. And you're just going to separate out of section and smooth it out with your hands. And then you're just going to wrap it around the donut. And then you're just going to keep wrapping it and you want to tuck your ends in as well as best as you can. And for each section, you just want to kind of pick up where you left off with wrapping the hair around. And this is just basically going to give you a nice very clean minimal bun. And it's also great to work off of when you're doing more complicated updo. So, it kind of helps give you little bit of foundation there. So, you're just kind of going to keep wrapping the hair around, nice smooth sections; you can even clip off a little bit of hair if you need, it's getting in your way and just move it to the side. So, just get your fingers through there. It takes a little bit of practice, but the end result is really worth it. It just looks really nice and clean, just really beautiful style. There we go. I'm actually going to clip this little section off just to get it out of the way. And definitely make sure to get your ends in there 'cause you really don't want anything poking out. Here we go, almost done. There we go. And just check your wrapping and make sure that you don't have any, that you can't see any of your donuts sticking out. And if you feel nervous about just keeping it like this, you might want to just add a couple of pins in there just to make sure that it feels super secure. Put a little spray on and just kind of smooth out any little frizzies that might have occurred while you're doing it. And you can see our bun from the back and the front. My name is Claire Coleman; I'm a Hairstylist and I just showed you how to use a hair donut for long hair.
