Hi, everyone, I'm hairstylist Amanda Shackleton from NY Bridal Beauty, and today I'm here to show you how to do a style for your engagement photos. I think it's really important when you are having your photos taken for your engagement pictures to look like yourself but just be a little bit more polished than you may normally be because they are really kind of casual photos of you and your fiancee and what I've done here is our model has naturally curly hair but I wanted to just kind of enhance the wave and just make it a little bit more of a beachier wave. So what I'm doing is I'm taking my iron and I'm not even opening it up, I'm just grabbing a small section of hair, tilting the iron, facing down and just wrapping the hair around like that. You want to leave the ends out about a half an inch of the hair out so what will happen is it will end up giving you that really nice wave without the ends being too finished. So I'm going to go ahead and do one more piece here and once that's done, I'm going to take a little bit of hairspray, put it in my hand and then just go ahead and shake it out a little bit. You can really make it as messy as you want. You don't want it too crazy but it should be a natural loose kind of messy beach wave and once you have it set, give it a little bit of hairspray, one more shot and there you go. She's ready to go have her engagement pictures taken. I'm hairstylist, Amanda Shackleton.
