Hi, I'm Beth Fleischer, and today we're going to talk about paints that are safe for your ceramic plates. The paint that you would use on ceramics are not actually paints, they're called glazes. And they come usually in little pint size jars like this. So, if you want to make plates that you can eat off of, you want to make sure to use ceramic kiln fired clay and glazes. You don't want to use paints from, say your local craft store that are made for painting wood or even glass because those are going to wash off if you put them in the sink, in the dishwasher and they're not safe to eat off of, they'll start to come off and you'll end up eating the paint. So, you just want to make sure to use ceramic glazes and you're going to need to have access to a kiln. So, again, if you want to make ceramic plates that you can eat off of, you want to make sure to use the right materials, you want ceramic glazes and clay that you can fire in your kiln. I'm Beth and thank you for watching.
