Hey there my name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach and fitness minister. And today I'm going to demonstrate for you the proper way to do a push-up for lower back strength. Alright we all know that a push-up is one of my favorite exercises because it's such a wonderful full body conditioning. But this is the proper way to execute the push-up because if it's done wrong you may be doing more harm then good. Alright so this is what we want to do. We want to get into a proper push-up position and that's just as tight as a plank. We want to actually engage our core as if someone is about to punch us right in the belly. We are bracing our core. And we are going to inhale when we go down. And we are nice and level. We don't have saggy, we are not doing this. And we are not doing this. We are nice and level. And we are going down squeezing the shoulder blades together in the back. Keeping the core nice and tight. And we are going to blow it out when we come up. Again exhale going down, nice and level. Inhale, exhale coming up. Inhale going down, exhale coming up. We always exhale on exertion. My name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach and fitness minister. And that is how you execute proper push-up for lower back strength.
