I'm Kristen McDowell with VivoPools and VivoSpas in Southern California, and I'm going to tell you how to keep your spa germ free. The most important issue is maintain a constant sanitizer level. You need to check your sanitizer level with a test kit or test strips a test kit is better on a regular basis. If your sanitizer level is too low then you want to bring it up. If it's bromine that you're using you want to bring it between 4 and 6 parts per million, if you're using chlorine, you want to have it between 1.5 and 3 parts per million. So what ever sanitizer you choose to use you want to make sure that you follow the manufactures instructions on how much product to use. On this spa, we use bromine so we're using a sodium bromide to boost the sanitizer level to make sure that it stays germ free. And then simply add it to the spa. I'm Kristen McDowell with VivoPools and VivoSpas in Southern California, and that's how you keep your spa germ free.
