Hi, I'm Emily Jones, Fitness Expert and Competitor here at Camp Hero Fitness in Southlake, Texas. I'm going to demonstrate the difference between a dumbbell press versus a deep swimmer's press. A dumbbell press versus a deep swimmer's press is actually just that motion of your arms. You're going to go past the 90-degree angle for your swimmer's press. The benefits of doing a swimmer's press is actually getting a greater motion and working out surrounding muscles in your chest. I'm going to demonstrate a regular chest press and your arms are at 90-degree angle, pressing up. A deep swimmer's press is you're going to go past that 90-degree angle all the way down putting your dumbbells almost to your shoulders, opening up your chest so you can work out those accessory muscles and pressing up. All the way down opening your chest and back up. And again, I'm Emily Jones, Fitness Expert and Competitor and I just demonstrated the difference between a dumbbell press versus a deep swimmer's press. Have a great day.
