This is Stephany with Elevate Fitness, and today we're going to talk about stretching exercises for the biceps and the triceps. So the first muscle that we're going to stretch is going to be the tricep muscle and so what you want to do is you want to lift your hand all the way up and then you're going to bend the elbow and have your hand touch the opposite shoulder just like this and then what you want to do is you can take the other hand and kind of pull your elbow down as far as you can. Now if it's really hard for you to lift up the other hand and pull down, the next thing that you can do is same movement, lift the hand up, bend at the elbow, try to touch that opposite shoulder and you can come against the wall and use the wall to push down that arm. Now the next muscle that we're going to stretch is going to be the biceps. A bicep stretch is actually very similar to a chest stretch. So what you're going to do is you're going to take your hand and bring it in back. You're going to need to use the wall for this but the difference between a chest stretch and a bicep stretch is that whenever you bring your arm back instead of keeping your hand up you're going to push your hand down. So basically the thumb is going to be facing the floor. So I'm going to take my hand and I'm going to bring it against the wall and I'm going to turn my hand over where the thumb is facing the floor and just kind of push against it keeping the arm straight and going as far as I can on that shoulder and as I come in towards the wall more, I definitely feel that stretch on the bicep. So just remember, bicep stretch, very similar to a chest stretch but instead of holding your hand up, you're going to flip your hand over.
