I'm Kaysha Kalkofen, co-founder and director of client services tSunela your source for consumer marketing. Today we're going to learn how to add a Facebook like button and a Twitter button to your blog post on WordPress. First log into your WordPress account and go to your post section. I will be showing how to do this with an existing post, but the instructions are the same whenever you create a post from scratch. On the post generation page it will usually default to the visual setting here. Make sure you select the HTML setting. Then open a new browser window and go to Twitter's resources page. Find the page for Twitter buttons. On this page choose the button that you want to add to your post. The most common is the share a link. This will create a Twitter button that when clicked will share the link for your post. I suggest leaving everything default in terms of the share URL. This will use the page URL of the post URL as the default and the Tweet text. It will use the title of the page or the title of your post. For the via you will want to make sure that you put in your business Twitter account and also for the recommended. Hash tags are optional. If you have hash tags that you want to associate with this post, you would put them in there. Your code is then generated here on the right hand side. Copy the code in this box, go back to your WordPress, again make sure your are in the HTML setting, and below the content of your post, paste in the code you just took from Twitter. You can then click the preview changes to see how the button now looks on your page. Sometimes the button will not appear right away. It will just say this Tweet link. Refresh the preview and you will find that the button has appeared. This is normal, it may just take a little bit of time for your server to recognize that image file. Now we want to add the Facebook like button. You'll want to go to the Facebook developers page on Facebook, the like button in the developers area. Scroll down to this area, step one, get like button. In the URL to like area, paste the URL for your post. And make sure that you un-check send the button. Then click get code. You want to select the IFRAME option in this box. Select all the code, and copy to your clipboard. Then go back to your WordPress and below the code for the Twitter button paste the code that you just took from Facebook. Select preview changes. Make the button's appeared as you wish and if everything is correct go back to your WordPress and select update. And that's all there is to it. And that's how you add a Twitter button and a Facebook like button to your WordPress blog posts.
