Hi, this is chef Mariko. Today, I'm going to show you how to make an easy sweet and sour soup recipe. This is really fast and delicious way to make one of your favorite Chinese restaurant soups at home. First you'll want to add four cups of chicken broth to a sauce pan. Then you want to add a half a cup of diced mushrooms. You can use white mushrooms or shit take mushrooms. A quarter cup of green onions. Three ounces of tofu, cut in cubes. A quarter cup of chicken breasts, sliced. Now I'm going to add the sweet and sour ingredients. I have three tablespoons of soy sauce, a third a cup of bamboo shoots that are sliced, a tablespoon of garlic chili sauce, a quarter teaspoon of pepper, you can use more to taste, and a teaspoon of sesame oil. I'm just going to stir all these ingredients together and let simmer for about five minutes. My sweet and sour soup has been over medium high heat for about five minutes. Now I'm going to add three tablespoons of rice wine vinegar. This is what's going to give the sweet and sour soup its tang. Then break one egg in to the pot and stir it together really fast so all of the egg beats up. Now your soup is ready to serve. And I'm just going to garnish it with a little extra green onion.
