Hi, I'm Chef Mariko. Today, I'm going to show you how to make an easy Pho soup. To get started, you'll want to make a Pho broth. First, you'll want to add four cup of your favorite broth to a saucepan. Then, you want to add the juice of one lime, add a couple cloves of garlic, a cinnamon stick and a few pieces of star anise. Stir everything together and let it simmer for about ten minutes. For your easy Pho soup, you'll want to get some rice noodles. These are the traditional Pad Thai style rice noodles and I just cooked them accordingly to the instructions on the package. So, I'm going to add those to my bowl, then I'm going to garnish with some sliced green onions. And now, I'm just going to pour some of my broth over the noodles. Oh, that smells really delicious. The cinnamon and the star anise gives it a really aromatic flavor. Now, this is where you can start to have some fun. You can garnish it with a wide variety of vegetables. For today's soup, I'm using some mung bean sprouts, some jalapeno slices, some sliced onion, some fresh cilantro and a sprig of fresh basil and some carrot slices. If you want your easy Pho a little bit spicier, I've got some garlic chili sauce here and I'm going to add about a tablespoon of Hoisin sauce. This is going to sweeten it up a little bit and give it a, a thicker consistency. Now, it's ready to serve. This is Chef Mariko, showing you how to make easy Pho. Enjoy!
