My name is Chef Egg with Cooking With Egg TV out of Baltimore, Maryland, and I'm going to show you how to make baked cauliflower with butter and Parmesan cheese. Now, this cauliflower dish is really really simple. Basically, we're going to take about four cups of chopped cauliflower, a little bit of salt, pepper and about an eighth a teaspoon of chili flakes and we're going to saute that in a little bit of butter and then squeeze a little lemon on top. From there, we're going to take it and put it into the oven at about 450 degrees and bake it until it's golden brown, that should take about 20 to 30 minutes. The first thing we're going to do is turn our pan on medium heat. Now, medium heat is perfect for this because it's going to help to start brown our cauliflower and make it really nice and golden brown. So, we're going to take some whole butter, unsalted, throw it in our pan and let that melt. I've got about a four tablespoons of butter in here, so this is going to be really rich and delicious. So, as you can see, the butter's melting and once that gets melted all the way, run it all the way around the pan. You don't want to heat the butter up too much because it can burn. We're going to take about four cups of chopped cauliflower and throw it in the pan. And you can chop up the stems too, they turn out really great for this recipe. Now, the next thing we're going to do is season it with a little bit of Kosher salt, fresh crack pepper, makes everything tastes good. Oh, cauliflower smells awesome. And we're going to season this with a pinch of red chili flakes, about an eighth of a teaspoon. And then we're going to roll a lemon and squeeze some lemon juice in there. And that looks phenomenal. So, we've added all our ingredients to the pan, and we're just going to toss it up a little bit; get the cauliflower covered in the butter, mix around the seasonings and as you can see, it's starting to get nice and golden brown. So from here, we're going to throw this in a 450-degree oven for about 20 minutes until the cauliflower's golden brown. So, we've taken this out of the oven and we're going to give it a toss. And as you can see, it's golden brown all the way around. Now, this cauliflower's about three quarters of the way cooked and what we're going to do is garnish it with some lemon wedges, make it look nice and pretty, like me. We're going to throw some of these beautiful shredded parmigiano reggiano cheese right on top. That looks awesome. Throw the rest on there and then do some fresh crack pepper right on top and now we're going th throw this under the broiler for about five minutes until everything is golden brown and bubbling away. So, we took this out from the broiler and it looks golden brown and absolutely delicious. As you can see, the cheese is all bubbly and awesome, we've released some of the flavor and the scent of the lemon as we broiled it. So, the next thing we have to do for this is to taste it and see how good it is. I'm going to take my fork in here; oh, that looks so good. Get some of that crusty cheese in there. Ummm, this is one of my absolutely favorite dishes. I can eat this whole pan myself. So, this is our dish of baked cauliflower in butter with Parmesan cheese and it's going to be absolutely fantastic for the whole family. I'm Chef Egg and that's how you make baked cauliflower with butter and Parmesan cheese.
