My name is Chef Egg, with Cooking With Egg TV out of Baltimore, Maryland. And I'm going to show you guys at home how to make a healthy recipe with cherry tomatoes and feta cheese. So for this recipe we're going to use about a third of a pound of whole wheat linguine, two tablespoons of olive oil, two tablespoons of fresh chopped garlic, about a cup and a half of some beautiful crisp green asparagus. We're going to mix that in with our pasta. And then we're going to top our pasta off with some beautiful feta cheese. We've got about I'd say three quarters of a cup right here. Some beautiful cherry tomatoes, different sizes different colors, different flavors. And then we're going to top all that off with some fresh parsley, some beautiful fresh basil and a little bit of fresh cracked pepper. We're going to cook our whole wheat linguine in a big pot of heavily salted water. So our pasta's boiling away and I've got my pan over here on medium heat. So what I'm going to do is add a little bit of olive oil, about two tablespoons. I've got my chopped garlic, throw that in there. Let that cook for a minute, it looks really, really nice. Really great. And now we're going to add our asparagus. We're going to cook our asparagus about half way. And when we serve it, it still has some crunch to it. The more you move your asparagus around the less it cooks, the less brown it gets and the less flavor you have. So be patient and let it cook and give it a toss about once every minute. So this asparagus looks awesome, the garlic smells great. We're cooking on medium heat. So we're getting good color and nothing's burning. It's looking really, really nice. So our pasta's been cooking about seven, eight minutes. So what we're going to do is take our pasta out. That looks wonderful, it's beautiful al dente and throw it right in our pasta pan. Love it. Aw, this looks absolutely fantastic. Finish cooking that pasta up. Now from here we're going to add our tomatoes, that looks wonderful. Toss that around and we want the tomatoes just to be half way cooked. We still want to see that beautiful color and get that fresh vibrant flavor. If you overcook they'll just be mushy. So that looks wonderful. Now from here we're going to toss in some feta cheese, that looks good. A little bit of parsley, and we're just going to tear up some basil leaves. Throw it in there nice and whole. That looks beautiful. So we're going to give this a toss just for a minute, and serve it up. Take a nice pile of that pasta and we're going to put it right in the middle of our plate and give it a little spin, so it stands up nice and tall. That looks beautiful. Get some of those tomatoes around there. All right. We're going to finish this off with a little bit of fresh cracked pepper. And that's our dish.
