Hey, it's Yvette Garfield with Handstand Kids Cookbook Company. Join us today we're going to make an easy everyday family recipe form our Chinese cookbook kit. It's going to be a belly full of beef and broccoli, guaranteed to please the whole family. So for your family easy recipes sometimes it's fun to create a theme around dinner, it get's everyone involved and a little bit excited about what they're going to eat. So tonight we're going to do a Chinese themed with a belly full of beef and broccoli. So the first thing we're going to start out is obviously our broccoli, this has been prewashed and we go ahead and just break off the little broccoli trees, which kids can do which is great and get's them more likely to actually eat their veggies. So we have about one cup of broccoli here and then we're going to add in some sliced bell pepper, like yellow and red, but what ever your family likes. If you have any other vegetables laying around you could throw it in, they cook up nicely. I like using onions when you're making dinner for the family, scallions or green onions have a little bit more of a mild flavor, so these are great for kids. If your kids like to cook with you these are great to cut with the scissors so kids can get involved if you don't want to give them a knife. So we're going to go ahead and throw this into our bowl. We have our garlic here, one clove should work for the whole batch, go ahead and give it smash, with our knife, the peal comes off nicely and we're just going to finely chop this, give it a nice garlicky aroma in the house. And then we're going to go ahead and throw in our seasoning, we have some rice vinegar here, we have about 2 tablespoons, throw that in, we have about 4 tablespoons of light, light sodium soy sauce and you can use brown sugar, but I like when I'm cooking for the family to use honey, which gives it a nice sweetness, so go ahead about 2 tablespoons of honey. So we're going to grate in some fresh ginger, just a little bit goes a long way, so grate a little, give it a little tap with your micro plainer, that should be enough and then we're going to go ahead and cook this in this skillet for about 3, 4 minutes till the vegetables soften and then add in our beef, for another 3 or 4 minutes.
