Hey, it's Yvette Garfield here with Handstand Kids. Today, we're gonna use our Italian cookbook kit to make some easy family dinner ideas. We'll be whipping up some mac and cheese guarantee your whole family will love it. All kids love mac and cheese so we're gonna put a little bit of a spin, we're gonna use whole wheat pasta, they'll never know and they'll ask for more and we're gonna use about 2 cups and we're gonna pour the whole wheat pasta in our 1 pot. So our pasta is gonna cook for about 8 minutes or so and the water will absorb, so now we have cooked pasta that we want to go ahead and turn into mac and cheese. So obviously our next ingredient is going to be a low fat cheddar cheese, we like to use a mild flavor for kids. Okay so we've got our cheese and the next step to keep it nice and moist, we're gonna add in some low fat milk and that's gonna help absorb all the flavor into the pasta. Now to keep this a 1 pot wonder and get all of our dinner into 1 meal, we're gonna add in some veggies, we've got some sliced broccoli and then you can also add in a protein, you can add in sliced chicken at the end, beef, shrimp, anything will really work with this dish, even sliced tofu and it won't be as, as noticeable to kids cause they have that nice cheesy flavor that they're used to with the mac and cheese. In our last step we're gonna add in some sliced tomatoes for some fun color and a little more texture. We're just gonna let that cook up for another 5 minutes or so and you will have your easy family dinner idea in one pot. Thanks for joining us today with those easy family dinner ideas, hope your family loves that mac and cheese and check out our Italian cookbook for more ideas.
