Hey, everybody. This is chef Mareya with EatCleaner.com, and today I'm going to show you how to make oven baked chicken nuggets. Now the word nugget strikes fear in the hearts of people like myself as a mom because I don't know what a nugget is. There are no nuggets on a chicken. So I'm actually going to take the chicken breast, cut it up and make a much healthier version because this is one of my kid's favorite dishes. And you're going to enjoy it too. It's not just for kids. So let me show you how to make the crumb. I've got my whole grain pretzels I'm going to put in to the food processor. And I've got about three quarters of a cup for just a small amount of chicken. Obviously this is probably just one serving so you can double the recipe. And then I've got my red pepper. I love cayenne. Maybe with your kids you might want to tone it down a little bit, but I like a little bit of kick in my food. And it's good for your metabolism too. I've also got some oregano. Some black pepper. And because the pretzels already have salt on them, I'm not going to add any more salt to this dish. All right so I'm going to add my top and let's process this to a pretty fine crumb but still a little bit of substance to it. OK so I've processed my pretzels down and I like to process the crumbs until where you've got this different texture going on. You've got the fine crumbs but then you've got some of the larger ones. That's going to add to the bite of this chicken. OK so now it's just about dipping and coating. So I'm going to take my chicken and I'm going to run it through the Dijon. This is a honey Dijon. And then right in to the pretzel crumb. Just like that. And on to my baking sheet. And we're just going to repeat the same thing. Now the great thing about this dish too is you can premake these and freeze them. How convenient is that? So if you don't feel like cooking one night or maybe you have unexpected guests coming over all you have to do is pop these in to the oven. I've got three of them coated here. This is going to be enough for one person really and you can double, triple, quadruple this recipe. I'm actually going to have quite a bit of pretzel crumb left so I'm going to make more chicken too. OK. These are ready. So I'm going to pop these in to the oven wait about maybe 15 minutes until they're nice and golden brown and we'll see what they look like when the come out of the oven. OK I just took my oven baked chicken nuggets out of the oven. And I've got a little bit of dipping sauce here. I've got some more of the honey Dijon and some barbecue sauce. So let's try it.
