Hey there. My name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach and fitness minister, and today I want to demonstrate the front lunge to a box exercise. Now the front lunge is a tremendous exercise because it forces you to engage your entire core. When you step forward with one leg you use the rear leg for balance and the core focuses in balance to keep you upright. So it's a great exercise, but we add a level of difficulty when we front lunge onto a box and that's exactly what we're about to do right now. So this is the move, again we put our hands in front of our chest, hands in front of our chest, chest up, shoulders down and back. We're going to step with the left leg, back leg right leg is back. We're going to step with the left onto the box, get as deep as we can into the squat and then push off with the right leg, then alternate with the opposite leg and push off and alternate and push off, alternate and push off. My name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach, and that is how you execute a proper front lunge onto a box exercise.
