Hey there, my name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach and fitness minister, and today I'm want to demonstrate two exercises that seniors can do using hand weights. Again, resistance is the key to overall health and wellness because it preserves your muscle. Your muscle is what burns fat and what keeps you looking young and fit. So we're going to use these dumbbells to help build upper body power for seniors. The first exercise we want to do is going to work the biceps and the shoulders simultaneously. We want to take the weight, grab the dumbbells, bring them to your shoulders, then press straight up and down. So we're going to do it again, we're going to curl to the shoulders and then press the weight overhead and down, third and final time. We're going to curl the weight to the shoulders, press overhead and then down. The next move we're going to do is a squat. We call a push press. So we're pushing the hips back and pressing the weight up. So we have the weight here on the shoulders. We're going to push the hips back and press the weight up, push the hips back and press the weight up.
