Hi, my name is Yolanda Shepherd, head stylist with Y Style in Canyon Springs Riverside, California in Lane Bryant and I'm going to give you some clothing advice for full figured women. The first thing you want to consider when you are picking out any type of garment is to already have your performance garments ready. What I mean by that is your undergarments and what you are going to use to smooth out as to what you perceive are flaws. My garment of choice are these spanks. What I like about them is they go from the shoulder, all the way to the mid thigh and that it has an opening so that you are still able to wear your brassiere with it. This smooths out any areas in which you may feel need control and makes all your garments look nice. The second thing you want to consider is fit. Find out your body type. If you are an A, where the top portion is smaller than the bottom or a Y where your top portion is bigger than the bottom or an O where you are symmetried in the center to have the same figure all around, an I if you are angular or an X where you have an hour glass type figure where you are bigger up top, smaller in the middle, bigger at the bottom. So those are the best ways to find out what your body type is. After that, find the best fit. The third bit of advice I want to give for dressing full figure women is accessorizing. We have Lauren here and she's layered her look to bring a slimmer appearance of fit. She has got the ruffles that go vertical so it draws your eye up and down. We also have color in her accessories, this beautiful necklace at Lane Bryant complements her complete outfit and then we also added a cardigan sweater on top to pull the whole look together.
