Hi, I’m Erin Hendley, professional makeup artist, and today I’m going to tell you how you can sell a lipstick to your bridal client. A lot of times, people need to sell products along with their makeup application services, and the best way to do that is to give them something to work with and something to visualize and see. So, this means that you’re going to be applying a lipstick onto them to let them know how it’s going to look on them, because the tube alone won’t sell it if you can apply it. So, what we’re going to do is, it’s always nice to apply our makeup and our lipsticks with some look that we already have going on. So, it’s best to be wearing makeup when we’re selling our product so they can see how it will actually look on them. And so, what we’re going to do is offer some suggestions. So, have a few colors to choose from, and that’s what we’re going to do. What we’re going to do is actually, it’s been official, we can link sell, and that means to try to sell a product with more than just one. So, I’m going to suggest to my client that these are two very beautiful colors that would work well with her, but her best one is probably going to be a customized blend of the two. So, I’m just going to go in and mix with what I deem would be beautiful on her. And, it’s always fabulous to consult with your bridal client, what kind of personality she has, her spirit, the look she wants, et cetera, et cetera. That will help you dictate what color palette to suggest to sell. And so, we are just creating this color – something that’s not too pale, but not too much. Again, we want it just to be a nice, beautiful look to go with her makeup and complement it. And then, we’re just going to apply it. Some brides don’t want lipstick at all, so just make sure that lipstick is something that they are interested in before you try to sell it to them. It’s always good to suggest it, but don’t actually push a sale until you know or have convinced your client that that is something that they want. Just use a brush. You can use the tube if you’d like, but for sanitary purposes and application purposes, I prefer a brush. Application is the best way to sell a product, because if they like the way they feel and look in the product, chances are they are going to want to have it again. And, just remember to link sell those lipsticks. Customization is a key word that a lot of brides want to hear. I’m Erin Hendley, and I just showed you how to sell a lipstick to a bridal client.
