Hi, I'm Brian Rauber with The Rauber Insurance Agency. Today's topic is the difference between comp and collision insurance. The state does not require that you carry comprehensive or collision insurance. The state only requires that you carry liability to protect the other party in the event of an accident. Collision coverage repairs or replaces your vehicle in the event that you are negligent in hitting another vehicle or another object. Comprehensive coverage would repair or replace your vehicle for any other type of damage. Now again, the state only requires that you carry liability insurance. Full coverage consists of both comprehensive and collision. A lien holder will require that you carry both comprehensive and collision insurance. Thanks for watching.
