I'm Brian Rauber with The Rauber Insurance Agency. Today's topic is builder's risk insurance. Builder's risk is a special property coverage that protects new construction or renovation projects. The property is insured for the replacement value upon completion. It covers for damages to buildings, materials and fixtures from perils such as fire, weather and vandalism. Two important policy exclusions are workmanship or liability in the event someone is hurt on your property. The coverage terminates upon completion of the project or occupancy. The policies are typically purchased by the property owner or a general contractor and can be purchased in terms of three, six, nine or twelve months. I'm Brian Rauber. Thanks for watching.
