Hey, I'm Skylar. Let's say your iPad is black like this, and when you press the power button, it doesn't turn on. A couple things could be going on, maybe the battery is completely dead, maybe it just crashed, you never really know, until you connect it to your computer. So using the cable that came in the box, the sync cable whether it was lightening or a 30 pin, connect that to the bottom of your iPad and then plug it into your Mac. iTunes ought to launch automatically but if your iPad isn't responding it may not, so open iTunes. iTunes then will look for devices that are connected to your computer and you may see a symbol appear on your iPad like the, you may see a symbol that looks like a sync cable and then the iTunes' logo and if that appears then iTunes will recognize it and it's in something called recovery mode. So iTunes will pop up a window and say hey, I've detected an iPad in recovery mode. Would you like to restore it to its default settings? If that's your only option, click okay and your iPad will be booted up and then iTunes will download the newest version of the software, install it and restore your iPad to factory settings. Thanks for watching. I'm Skylar.
