Hi, I'm Sara Holliday from Fitbysara.com, and I'm going to show you exercises for the external obliques. I'm going to show you this move that's going to target the obliques or the waistline is the easy way to figure out what that means. Right through here this problem area for many of us, keep in mind that you've got to be conscious of what you're eating in order to see the definition come through but this exercise will definitely firm up through the waist right here. So what we're going to do is we're going to lay all the way down. You need to bring your hands behind your head and you're going to lift through the heart center so already my abdominal is tightening, bring one elbow down, keep your chin up and you're going to go over to the side. Now the trick here is to not go all the way down. Many people go like this, then they go all the way down. Don't lose that contraction we already created. So you're going to go up, part way down, up, part way down. So you can go eight to the side and then eight to the other side and then four to the side and then four to the other side and then two to the side and then two to the other side and then you can go alternating just like this and you will definitely feel the burn into the waist.
