Hi, I'm Sara Holliday from, and I'm going to show you exercises to treat a stiff neck with Yoga. So, many of us carry a lot of stress and tension right here into the neck and shoulders and I'm going to show you a simple Yoga exercise that I actually teach in my Yoga classes. So, what you're going to do is you're going to bring your hands up over your head, interlacing your fingers and bring your hands right behind your head, right below those two bones on the back of your head. Interlace your fingers, tuck your head and your abdominals, bringing the elbows forward. You're going to inhale and you press your head up towards your hands. Then, you're going to exhale and release back down. Inhale press up, make sure you're pressing up versus your hands pressing down. Exhale, release down. And repeat that about three more times, inhaling and exhaling. [Breath]. Hold it at the bottom and allow the weight of your arms to open up the spine, the cervical spine. Take a nice deep breath, creating a space in between each of your vertebrae and your neck. [Breath]. And slowly, release the fingertips to the floor and lengthen your spine and you'll feel a nice release with the neck and shoulders.
