Hi, I'm Denise Druce a fitness instructor in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lets talk about how to get rid of water weight for bodybuilding. First of all, bodybuilders are always concerned with losing water weight especially when it comes close to competition time. So the number one thing you can do if you are trying to lose water weight is actually drink more water. So most bodybuilders will find themselves drinking a minimum of 64 ounces of water a day up to a gallon. So make sure to stay hydrated even more then you think you need. Keep in mind that when you are drinking a lot of water that dilutes the vitamins and minerals in your body so it's a really good idea to continue taking a multiple vitamin when you are drinking a lot of water. The second way to get rid of water weight if you are bodybuilding is to sweat more. So you can workout in warmer environments, maybe even spend more time in the sauna. Just let your body get rid of as much water as it can through sweating. The third thing is cut back on your sodium. Start looking at the labels of the foods that you eat and consume less sodium. And your body will let go of even more water. And the fourth way is to increase your intake of fiber, specifically with fruits and vegetables.
