I’m Kara Miller of TheLifestylista.com, and I’m here at Denim Revival. Today, we’re going to be talking about how to wear low-rise jeans. Now, the first thing you need to do is be aware that, heck, you need to get a dark wash. This is the most flattering, and it’s the most versatile. You can wear it for a casual day look, and you can also wear it in the evening for a more sophisticated look. This allows you to do that, and it’s extremely slimming. When you have all that light color, and all the distress like the tears and all of that on the jeans, it actually makes your thighs look bigger. That’s the first thing. Then, look at this. This stretches. What does this Lycra do for you in a jean? It’s like magic. It expands where you need it to expand, and it contracts where you need it to contract. It’s extremely flattering. But, speaking of expanding, when you try a pair of jeans on in the store, just remember that it may feel a little cozier – the right pair of jeans – because jeans stretch. These stretch jeans? They stretch. Pockets. Pockets are our little friendly secret. If you want to minimize your behind, get large pockets, and get them a little bit closer together. But, if you want to maximize the behind and perk up your assets, what you can do is wear little flip pockets, those flap pockets, and they will actually boost you up. You want to avoid having a muffin top? Well, the secret is this: Get low-rise jeans that actually fit you. Don’t think you have to suffer and have it dig into your hips. No! When it digs into your hips, it’s not the right size, and you will be spilling out of the top, and that will create a muffin top. Unsightly! The next thing is the length. Don’t think you have to go short with skinny jeans. It can be extremely cute and stylish to have a little scrunch at the bottom because they’re a little bit longer. Try it. I’m Kara Miller, and you’ve been watching how to wear low-rise jeans.
