Hi, I'm Kendra Richards, professional makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you how to do black eye shadow. The trick is to use black cream eye liner as a base for the shadow underneath. What I do is I get a little bit of this black liner on the brush and I'm going to use this as a base on Amanda's eyelid first. This helps with the intensity that also gives that eye shadow that you're going to use afterwards, something to hold on to. And then this brush also helps blend it out so you don't get a harsh line. Can you see how I'm using that to blend out that liner. It softens the line and deposits the makeup. And if there's anything that needs cleaning up afterwards, I can go in with a Q tip and clean the brush off a little bit and blend that out. But that's the base, that's the thing that really helps it adhere to the eyelid. So I'm going to start with that and then I'm going to take black eye shadow with that same brush and then I'm going to go over it. And now what I'm doing is just continuing blending with this brush. Let me see that for a second. Go ahead and open. So there you have it. This is how to get black eye shadow. It's very simple, you use cream black eye liner and then eye shadow and a great blending brush and you're ready to go. I'm Kendra Richards at the Kristoff Ball Salon in Beverly Hills. Thanks for watching.
