Hi guys, I'm Cari Shoemate. And I'm going to show you how to do a leaning forward lunge. Now this lunge is a little bit more advanced so if you are just starting out then I recommend that you do this without any weights or use lighter weights. But basically the leaning forward lunge technique is going to work your core a little bit more specifically the obliques. Because you are going to have to balance a little bit. And also it does work your glutes a little bit more. And it looks like this. Basically you are going to come to the side. You are going to drop your weights down on either side of your body. You are going to lunge down where both legs are at 90 degrees just like a regular stationary lunge. Then you are actually going to lean forward though the movement. And then straighten back up when you come to the top. Now make sure you keep a nice flat back. Don't round through your back and you never want to let that front knee go past your toes. So even though your back is leaning forward you really don't want to lean your whole body forward and push your knee past your toes. Now again this is a little bit more advanced. So if you are just starting out you know I probably recommend that you either do this without any weights or just stick to that stationary lunge until you master that first. I'm Cari Shoemate and I'll see you next time.
