Hi, everyone. I'm hairstylist, Amanda Shackleton, and today I'm going to show you how to do a hairstyle for long thick hair. It's very very easy. If you have long and thick hair you're very very lucky because you can do many many things with this but this is a really really cute hairstyle to do in just a couple minutes and all you do is take a section of hair and bring it forward just like that, give it a big tease right there. You can do it with a comb like this, a wide tooth comb or you can do it with a teasing comb, either one works and then I'm going to take a second section and give that a tease as well. We want to get a little bit of body on top of the hair. We'll give that a quick brush back and just run your fingers through the hair, give it a quick spray just to hold it in place and the hair doesn't have to be perfect for this. It actually should be a little bit on the messy side. So don't worry about getting every hair in place. Second step, we're going to turn around here and just pull the back of the hair back very very lightly while wrapping one side over the other side just like that. We'll take a bobby pin and we'll put that in to hold that in place and then all we do is put the hair in a very loose ponytail to one side, make sure that the hair is behind the ear, take your elastic, run the ponytail through just like this and then lastly, take a small piece, maybe about a half an inch size and just wrap it around the elastic a couple of times. This will make the ponytail look really cute and finished and it will also act as just a way to make it look more polished looking and then we're going to take our clip, clip that in, have a look from the front, give it one more shot of hairspray, bring your ponytail around to the front and there you go, you're finished. I'm hairstylist, Amanda Shackleton, from NY Bridal Beauty.
