My name is Sandra Blackie from Freedom of Fitness, and today I'm going to show you how to work your shoulders without using weights. This is an exercise for the shoulders that one does not have to use a machine, barbells, or dumbbells. And a lot of people would refer to that as weight. Yet when I get on my knees and I do a shoulder press with a rubber band I'm still using weight. I'm using the rubber band resistance. So it's one way to work your shoulders without using the other equipment. It's cost effective and it's light to travel with. Ideal for traveling. Another variation for shoulders without using the dumbbells, barbells, or machines is the lateral raise. And that works the medial head of the deltoid. That means the middle part of the shoulder or the part of the shoulder that looks like a cap or a grapefruit. This variation is for the front part of the shoulder. We call this a front shoulder raise. So all of these exercises are very easy to do to keep your shoulders in great shape whether you are at a gym, at home, or traveling. So as you've seen by this video there are more ways to work your shoulder then using dumbbells and barbells alone.
