Hi, I'm Bee. I'm a Cookbook Author and Food Blogger. I specialize in easy Asian cooking and you can check out my recipes at Today, I'm going to show you how to make Japanese chicken dumpling. We need about eight ounce of ground chicken, a little bit of Napa cabbage, some chopped scallion, a little bit of grated ginger, two tablespoons of soy sauce and one tablespoon of sake which is Japanese cooking wine. You want to mix everything together so they combine well. Now, I'm going to show you how to fold a Japanese dumpling. You want to take a sheet of the round wrapper and dab a little bit of water around the outer edge. This is going to help to seal the dumpling. You want to put a little bit of the filling in the middle, about one teaspoon and now, we want to fold up the wrapper, just like this. And then, on the side, we want to do a few pleats, just like that, a few pleats; one, two, three, four. You can just make three if you cannot make four. And, so, you want to tuck it like that so it forms a very nice crescent shape. Now, we're going to pan fry the dumpling and I'm going to take this dumpling and pan fry on low heat for about five minutes on either side. Here I have prepared some Japanese chicken dumpling and they are nicely pan-fried and brown.
