Hi, I'm Erin Hendley, professional makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you a trick to help keep hair dye off of your skin. Sometimes when we get our hair done even if we go to professionals we sometimes we get the remains of the hair dye on our hair. Just for example like this. Along the hairline especially and the forehead if we have bangs sweeping in and out. So the best way to prevent this is to really go in with a barrier product which is good old petroleum jelly. It will stick to your skin but it's easily removable. And anything that's applied will hit this and not go to the surface of the skin. The main reason why we want to prevent getting a hair dye mark on our skin is because it can stain pretty easily. So what we are going to go and do next time to prevent this is to really just put down a layer. So when we enter in with our hair color and we want to streak our hair it's going to hit the petroleum jelly. And as I remove it the color should come right off with the product and not leave a stain. As we can see going on here. It's coming right off because it hit the petroleum jelly first. So we have a nice clean surface unlike the stains that are going on here. I'm Erin Hendley, and I just showed you a trick to help keep hair dye off of the skin.
