Hi, I'm Erin Hendley, professional makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you how to do hippo face makeup. Alright so we already have our gray going on, that's the important part and the basis for the coloring for the hippo. So after we have our gray we're just going to just going to use two other colors black and white that's pretty much all we need. So what we're going to do is just to create a little bit of texture, hippos are pretty scaly and dry skinned animals so we're going to go in with our stippling sponge and just create a bit of texture with the black and just put it where ever you want it actually it's not going to matter at this point in time. Okay now we have the black so then we're going to go in with the white and pretty much just go right next to it or over it. After we have that done what we're going to do is take a large brush and just swipe it back and fourth, this is just going to create a little bit of wrinkly-ness in the skin and just some lines that we can see in hippos when they're animated. And now that we have that part done we can go in and get a little more characteristics going on, so we're going to go in with the black and just outline a pretty animated mouth for our hippo caricature and we're just going to take it out here and go underneath the mouth and go out here and take it underneath the mouth. And you can blend any edges. And then we're just going to go up and around the snout and create that line and now what we're going to do is draw in the teeth for the hippo because hippos have almost tusk like teeth. They're not particularly cute animals so their teeth don't have to match, just kind of fill them in white, blend it in, maybe do a little bit of outlining. I'm Erin Hendley, and I just showed you how to do hippo face makeup.
