Hi, this is Tarik Tyler with Tariktyler.com. I'm here at Train, West Hollywood, and this is what is a good squat max. Well, the answer is it really depends upon what you are trying to accomplish. A good squat max varies from person to person. It can be anything. If you are let's say for example, an NFL running back, a good squat max can be three times your body weight, that is if you weigh about 225 pounds, a good squat max for you could be 675. If you are just let's say a competitive athlete, let's say for example a soccer player, a good squat max could be 235, a good squat max could be 85 percent of your body weight let's say if you are a collegiate wrestler where you need some strength you need some explosiveness, you need a little bit of hypertrophy, but you don't need to be absolutely massive. So a good squat max can vary from person to person. It is individualized as to whatever your goals happen to be. This is Tarik Tyler, and this was what is a good squat max.
