Hi, this is Tarik with Tariktyler.com here at Train, West Hollywood, and this is how to build a max squat. So what we're going to do here to develop a max squat is we're going to do jump squats which are really going to get your muscles and your legs to react explosively to any amount of resistance that you put on them. The key things are to make sure your feet are spread shoulder-width apart and you want to get a nice deep squat so you are down to about 90 degrees, squatting down nice and deep and then jumping up and then turning right back to the same range of motion you were at before. The key things that make this safe are this, make sure your feet are shoulder-width apart. You want to land with almost like a cat-like type of stance. You don't need to drive your feet down just make sure you land and keep your balance. Maintain an upright position so with your chin up or looking up towards the ceiling.
