Hi, I'm Michelle Simone, and I'm a hairstylist, and today I'm going to show you some ways to wear your hair to an open model call. So today modeling agencies are really looking for you to come in as natural as possible with little makeup and your hair should be simple and clean. So for short hair, what I like to do is use a big curling iron. I'm using a one inch curling iron and I'm just going to quickly go through and curl some pieces just to give it a little bit of wave and body but if you have long hair, you can do the same thing or you can also just go ahead and put your hair into a bun or a topknot that, you know, a messy bun on top of your head because that way you are keeping your hair out of your face and it still looks natural and easygoing. They want you really to be a blank canvas essentially. So whatever you do keep it simple. Don't do crazy braids, don't go for big volume or Victoria's Secret hair. You really want it to be simple. So I'm just quickly going to go through her hair with this curling iron, just to give it some shape. Once you've gone through all of your hair with the curling iron, just go ahead and kind of mess it up a little bit, keep it nice and loose. If you want you can spray it with a little bit of hairspray or you can just leave it as is but the key here really is to make it look as natural as possible. And that's it. So we just showed you a few ways to wear your hair to a model call.
