Hi, I'm Michelle Simone and I'm a Hairstylist. And today, I'm going to show you way to wear your hair for ballet recital if you have short hair. So, what I'm going to start with is a nice side part in her hair. I'm just taking a tail comb and making a nice straight line. For ballet recitals, obviously, you want precision, so, make sure it's a really clean straight line, and comb it down. And then the trick with short hair is to use a really good pomade; I have one that has little bit of a wet look to it, but it has a nice strong hold. And typically, you'd have a bond in your hair for a ballet recital. But, if you have really short hair and you can't get it into a bun, take, I would take the product and get a good amount of it into my hand and then just rub it around your fingertips so that it's evenly distributed and run it through your hair. Right now it's not going to look like much, we're just going to run it through, make sure that your hair is saturated with the product. Rub against, through your fingers so you don't get it all globby and then rub it through your hair. Once you think you've got enough product in to make it really sleek, take a fine tooth comb and then start combing it through. This is going to really stick your hair right to your head 'cause you want no piece out, no flyaways and just combing it backwards. If you're getting flyaways towards the top, just put a little bit of product on your finger and smooth it out. That way, you'll get all of the flyaways and comb it through if you get a glob. Once you have all of your hair sleeked back, if you have even shorter hair, you can leave it at this point and just let that be, and then I would spray it all over with hairspray as much as you can because you want to make sure that while you're dancing it doesn't come out of place. But, if you have a little bit of extra hair at the bottom, try taking it and, try taking the hair and twisting it upwards from the bottom. We're going to make this twist all the way along the bottom, pinning as we go. That's going to keep all of your hair in and keep it in place. Once you've gotten across the bottom, you're going to go ahead and do the same thing in the opposite direction. So, now I'm going to take the right side and twist it down, pulling the hair tight and then twisting upwards from the bottom, grabbing as much hair as you can. And as you go, put a few pins in it. Okay. So, once you've pinned your last pins, this is your final look. And here you have a nice sleek hairstyle for ballet recital if you have short hair.
