Hi, I'm Joelle, The Baby Planner for Nesthelp.com and I'm here today at Lazar's Juvenile Furniture in Chicago, Illinois, and this is how to train with a potty chair and steps. So the first aspect to choosing a potty chair is to choose one with a white insert like this one. Babies and toddlers are visual learners and they need to see their accomplishments. Pee pee and poopie disappear into red and blue very easily. The second type of insert goes on top of the toilet seat and I recommend this only for Stage 2 and a slightly older child. When you are doing the Stage 2 potty training though, these are great steps for leading up to the toilet so that the child is secure. Another aspect is the steps up to the sink. Now those should be completely supervised at all times by a parent or guardian. Also you want to make sure that any potty steps leading up to the potty are completely skid proof and sturdy so that baby doesn't fall. Thank you for watching. I'm Joelle, The Baby Planner for Nesthelp.com, and this is how to train with a potty chair and steps.
